Robb/Margaery?? Yeah, they used to be my bookverse het otp (JON/ROBB STANNING ALL DAY AND NIGHT) when I first first first got into GoT. And tbh, I sort of still do ship them in the ‘yes, good, I 100% approve’ sort of way. They’re great on so many levels. But I go through stages with these books lol The more depth I uncover, the more complexities I see, the more I start shipping new and different stuff. For a good meta on Robb/Margaery I would turn your attention to this post :) But (and this might just be me), I feel like Robb is the ship bicycle for ASoIAF lol I can ship him with literally almost anyone. Right now my faves (in the book!verse specifically, ‘cause I RP Game of Thrones daily so…I have a lot of AU ships too) go something like Robb/Jon, Robb/Sansa, Robb/Jon/Sansa, Robb/Val the Wildling Princess, Robb/Asha Greyjoy. I don’t understand Robb/Dany (lol she’d be polite for two minutes until he refused to relinquish the north and then she’d lay waste to everything he loved ‘with fire and blood’) and I really get sick to my stomach about Robb/Arya (tbh shipping Arya with anyone but Gendry or Jon just…feels wrong). But I hear new stuff every day and I’m always open to new ideas. Shipping is the funnest, you should join the silly (and deep psychological probing that comes with it, it’s actually not that silly at all)!
